Joanne Toller, Partner

As a seasoned event manager and professional fundraiser, Joanne has meticulous organizational skills that were developed through 10 years of management experience before employing her entrepreneurial spirit to form the Communicators. It is with this skill set, coupled with her innate creativity and her passion for client satisfaction that is the core value of The Communicators. Joanne is also a past Board member with the Association of Fundraising Professionals and brings her knowledge and experience in this field to every event.

Shawna Ogston, Partner

Shawna is a public relations practitioner with more than 15 years experience in the nonprofit sector. She understands how crucial it is to exercise community and media contacts creatively, on a consistent basis within tight budgets and demanding timelines. As a result, Shawna has built strong, professional relationships. A Mount Royal College Public Relations graduate, her talents were honed while working at Volunteer Calgary, Theatre Calgary, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Calaway Park. Currently a volunteer with Sage Theatre, Room to Read and the CTV VIP Award selection committee, Shawna has lent her skills to many other committees including Vitalize, Leadership Calgary, Junior League and the Our Millennium project.
